Below you will find key information about this year’s client fee process, along with new resources and enhancements that are now available to you. Please note that this year, the annual client fee remains at $50 plus applicable taxes.

Last November, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) went on strike against Canada Post, resulting in a disruption of postal services. As you may recall, the national strike was paused at the end of 2024 for an inquiry commission to take place. Now, as you may have heard, a labour disruption could happen again as early as May 22, 2025 (ref. Canada Post Notice – Negotiations updates).

Following last week’s communication regarding the Client Contact Record Form (CCRF) and Order Instruction Forms (OIFs), there has been some confusion regarding the mandatory nature of the questions carried over from the CCRF to the specific OIFs. 

To minimize LOIs and streamline the process for you, we have updated Administrative Procedure # 37 – Returned Item, along with the replacement options outlined in the Returned Items Notice you receive in the event of insufficient funds.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Joanna Yu as our new Regional Vice President, Advisor Relationships, for Western Canada, effective immediately. Joanna will be reporting directly to me.

If you haven’t completed it yet, the “Annual Review of Professional Activities” (“ARPA”) questionnaire is available on the Investia Advisor Centre for online completion. This questionnaire must be completed and submitted by April 30, 2025.

As a reminder, Investia’s Client Contact Record Form (F51-331A) (CCRF) is a form that must be used for note-taking purposes only and must always be uploaded to head office for imaging.
