In an effort to improve our Limited Authorization Form (LAF) process, please note that the following two changes will come into effect on April 4, 2025.
New note in Univeris
Effective April 4, whenever a new LAF is reviewed and found not to be in good order, the Compliance team will add details regarding the rejection in Univeris under “Communications / Notes”, with the new subject “Limited Authorization Form (LAF) – Rejection Notice.”
Email notification
To keep you informed of any rejected LAF, an email notification will automatically be sent from investia.notifications@investia.ca to the email address listed in the Representative’s “Notifications” field. These notifications will be sent after 5 p.m. EST on the same date the LAF was rejected.
For confidentiality purposes, notification emails will not include detailed information about the rejection. Instead, you will be prompted to consult the notes in Univeris under “Communications / Notes” within the client’s profile to review the reason for the rejection.
Reminder – Document uploading
When you have an updated LAF to submit following a notification, please send it exclusively through the Secure File Upload Tool while ensuring you select the “Processing” option. Kindly note that we do not receive alerts for notes added to a client’s profile or responses sent in reply to these notifications.
Thank you for your attention.
