Important Reminder | CE Reporting – November 30, 2025 Deadline

March 6, 2025

Category: Top news

As a reminder, November 30, 2025 is the end of the current continuing education (“CE”) reporting cycle for CIRO registrants (Representatives, Associate Advisors, Junior Advisors, Licensed Assistants, Branch Managers).

Please see the chart below for a reminder about your CE reporting requirements:

CE Reporting1

IMPORTANT: All registered individuals (Representatives, Associate Advisors, Junior Advisors, Licensed Assistants, Branch Managers) are responsible for reporting credits obtained from a 3rd party source (e.g., fund company website). You must provide a copy of supporting documentation (proof of completion/attendance certificate) when reporting CE attendance.

Credits are to be reported in the CE Reporting and Tracking System (“CERTS”), accessible through the CIRO website, which can be found under “Continuing Education” in the “Useful Links” section on the Investia Advisor Centre. From there, you will find more information on how to login and report credits on CERTS using the Participant User Guide

Compliance and Business Conduct – Ethics
All registrants registered with CIRO have to complete two (2) CIRO Compliance (MC) and a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of two (2) Business Conduct credits that must be on the subject of Ethics.

CIRO Compliance (mandatory) MC Credits
Currently, CIRO has posted the 2024 Compliance credit on CERTS. You must register for the CE credit on the CERTS portal to obtain this mandatory MC credit. Registration is available once you have logged into CERTS – click on the link for “Register for MFDA Activities”. The 2025 Compliance credit should be posted by CIRO within the next few weeks.

CE Reporting2.2

Important
Failure to obtain the necessary CE credits by the end of the reporting cycle will result in your registration record noted as “not in good standing” and will result in disciplinary action imposed by CIRO (i.e., a record in your permanent NRD registration record/action plan to address the deficiency and suspension of the registration until compliant). We strongly encourage you to confirm your current standing in the CERTS portal.
