As you may have heard, Canada Post resumed operations on December 17, but mail delivery delays are expected over the next few weeks.
Despite this, we still recommend inviting your clients to use the Client Portal and e-delivery to ensure they receive their next quarterly statement and tax slips on time. We remind you that clients can change their document delivery preferences at any time on the Client Portal.
Alternative to cheques
Also, with the industry’s shift away from cheques, we would like to remind you of the benefits of electronic fund transfers (EFTs) for your clients:
- Faster processing, resulting in quicker payment
- Reduced risk of error, eliminating the chance of misplacing cheques
- Reduced off-market exposure of funds
- Enhanced protection of client personal information
