As is already the case with TFSAs, Investia must now report to the Canada Revenue Agency (“CRA”) the market value as at December 31 of all registered plans, including those in which no withdrawal was made during the course of the year.

This means that for the 2023 taxation year, a tax slip was produced for all Investia registered plans, including those in which no transactions were recorded in 2023. Tax slips can be found in the client’s “Plan Details /Tax Slips” section:

It should be noted, however, that if you wish to generate a duplicate tax slip for a registered plan with no transactions, the error message below will appear, meaning that for this slip all boxes are set to zero. It is important to note that in this situation, no tax slip is issued to clients.
