Reminder – Banking Information Addition

Effective April 29, 2024, Investia introduced a new process for adding clients’ banking information to Univeris via the Advisor Centre. The process has been in place for a couple of months, and we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few key steps to ensure a smooth process for both Representatives and Head Office.

Questions submitted during the banking information webinar on April 24 (link to webinar replay) and the recent Best Business Practices Roadshows are addressed below:

Banking documents should only be submitted once via the Advisor Centre (“Manage Banking Information” section):


  

  • Only stand-alone banking documents (i.e. void cheques, pre-authorized chequing forms) should be uploaded. 

  • Once the document has been uploaded, it does not need to be submitted again via the Secure File Upload. This leads to duplication and unnecessary steps for both Representatives and Head Office. 

  • Banking information will be available in Univeris and the document will be visible under the “Documents” tab.

  • If the banking document has been previously provided and the bank account is still on file in Univeris, there is no need to resubmit it at time of trade. 

  • Client signature on the stand-alone banking document (void cheque, pre-authorized chequing form) is not required.

  • Representatives are responsible for adding banking information. Therefore, any banking submitted for “processing” will immediately be imaged. There will be no action taken by Head Office.


All other client documents should be uploaded via the “Send Documents” section:

  • While a signature is not required on the stand-alone banking form (i.e., void cheque or pre-authorized cheque form), we do require acknowledgment that the banking information is going to be used by having the client sign any of the forms below.

  • Banking information and client signature can be collected using, but not limited to, any of the forms below:

-   NCAF
-   KYC Update Form
-   Cheque Transmission or Banking Information Addition Form
-   Nominee Systematic Instruction Form
-   Order Instruction Form

  • Please do not re-upload stand-alone banking documents as these have previously been submitted via the “Manage Banking Information” section on the Advisor Centre.
